Pana singer, Tekno, says he has travelled to the United States to treat a “worsened” case of acid reflux.
Acid reflux is a condition that is caused by stomach acid flowing back up into the food pipe.
The singer, born Augustine Kelechi, took to Instagram Wednesday to make the announcement.
He apologised to his fans and music promoters for cancelling previously booked engagements while explaining that he’s been sick for a month.
“I know I have disappointed a whole lot of promoters and my amazing fans worldwide. I’ve been sick for over a month from acid reflux and it has worsened,” he wrote.
“I want to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause; all the show refunds and any other lost. Am not taking any bookings right now as I’m off to America for proper treatment. God’s grace I’ll get better in no time and be back on stage.”
Tekno, who has been cozying up to fellow singer Lola Rae in recent times, urged his fans to say a prayer for him.
“If you could share a little prayer for me, I would be grateful. Good health to you and yours,” he added.
Acid Reflux is characterised by a burning pain, known as heartburn. It is felt internally around the lower chest area.
