Fountain of Life Church has announced the funeral plans of Taiwo Odukoya, its late founder.
Odukoya passed away on August 7 in the United States at the age of 67. The cause of his death is yet to be known.
In an e-flier shared on its Facebook page, the church said a service of songs will be held in Odukoya’s honour on September 8, while the funeral will take place the following day.
The e-flier added that both events will be held at the church headquarters located in the Ilupeju area of Lagos.
Odukoya’s death came less than two years after he lost Nomthi, his wife.
Nomthi, a South African, died on November 9, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Odukoya’s second marriage to Nomthi lasted 11 years and produced two boys.
Before Nomthi, Odukoya was married to Bimbo for 21 years.
She died in the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash in Port Harcourt, the Rivers capital.
Bimbo, who was also a pastor at Fountain of Life Church, was mostly known for pioneering the “Single and Married” — a ministry that has been widely acclaimed for preparing youths and couples for fulfilling and lasting relationships.
In December 2021, Odukoya also lost his twin sister, Kehinde Hassan, from cancer complications.
