Sunday Ogunyemi, a UK-based Nigerian juju musician popularly known as Sunny Melody, has said he was a victim of an armed robbery attack in Maryland, US.

The musician said the incident took place after performing at a show. Melody said he was attacked by five young boys who wielded guns.

Apart from being robbed of “valuables,” Melody said he was humbled when the guns were pointed at him.

He shared details of the incident on Instagram on Sunday, adding that the police are investigating the matter.

“I’ve never been this terrified in my life,” he wrote.

“I initially taught it was Nollywood. Just after my show in Maryland, USA while returning to my accommodation, 5 young boys with guns disposed me of my valuables.

“Trust me; it’s a different thing when a gun is pointed at you. Crucial humility fell on me.

“The police responded immediately and are currently working on the case. I hope they find them.

“Join me and thank God for sparing my life.”
