Farida Fasasi, the wife of Sound Sultan, has taken to social media to celebrate the late Nigerian singer on the occasion of their 12th wedding anniversary.
Sound Sultan, real name Olanrewaju Fasasi, died on July 11 after a 4-year battle with angioimmunoblastic t-cell lymphoma — a type of blood cancer that starts in the white blood cells.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Farida said even in death, the rapper will always be “irreplaceable”.
“Aboo, 1st of October, our family and friends gathered to share our joy and celebrate with us as we sealed our beautiful love in marriage,” the mother of three wrote.
“The song ‘Love language’ is a testament of our decision to weather the storm together above our tribe, tongues and religion.
“Death has separated us but in my heart you are irreplaceable. I love you always and forever. Happy 12 years anniversary baby.”

Farida had previously penned a touching tribute to the late musician while recounting her ordeals since he passed on.
“It still feels like a bad dream… How is this my fate? Living without you has to be the worst punishment life has thrown my way,” she had written.
