Beverly Tate, the mother of Snoop Dogg, the US rapper and TV personality, has passed on.
The rap legend had earlier spoken of his mother’s ailing health in a series of social media posts.
But on Sunday, Snoop Dogg shared a picture of the deceased holding a bouquet of flowers alongside several heartfelt tribute posts.

According to TMZ, the family confirmed the news of Tate’s death on Sunday and asked for prayers.
Although they didn’t speak of the circumstances surrounding her passing, Tate was hospitalised earlier this year.
Snoop had asked his fans to send “good vibes” while his mother was in the hospital. He later inform his followers that she was “still fighting” and had opened her eyes.
Tate had two other sons with Vernell Varnado, Snoop’s father.
She had raised the family in Long Beach, California.
The deceased also brought Snoop up in a church environment — something the rapper still alludes to this day.
