Abdullahi Adisa, a skit maker better known as Trinity Guy, has honoured police invitation regarding a controversial child prank video he made.
In a now-deleted video, Trinity Guy was seen asking a young girl “inappropriate questions” about his manhood.
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson, earlier condemned the prank and labelled it as “child abuse”.
He also vowed that appropriate action would be taken.
On Thursday, the Oyo police command summoned the skit maker and expressed concerns about the skit.
The command assured the public that updates regarding the matter would be provided in due course.
In a statement on Friday, the force announced that Trinity Guy reported himself to the command at 10 a.m.
It stated that the investigation relates to the alleged “sexualisation of a female minor”.
The police command said the comedian is scheduled to meet with the deputy commissioner of police at the state criminal investigation department as part of the ongoing inquiry.
“Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, also known as Trinity, reported at the Oyo State Police Command at exactly 10:00 hrs today,” the Oyo state police said.
“Recall he was invited yesterday over a video depicting the sexualization of a female minor. Updates will follow in sequence, please.
“Trinity will be meeting shortly with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, as part of his invitation.”
