Skales, the Nigerian rapper, has recalled his scuffle with Kizz Daniel, the singer, at Timaya’s house.
In an interview on Beat FM, Lagos, Skales blamed the altercation on the influence of alcohol.
Skales said he unknowingly attacked Kizz Daniel during a conversation.
The 32-year-old said he apologised to his colleague the following day, adding that he believes the matter has now been settled.
“Something that I did not know of. This one is my fault and I am going to talk about it on radio. I offended Kizz Daniel. I am telling you. I was drunk. Some scuffle happened. And he was involved and I said some things that… I was really angry that night,” he said when asked if he ever had beef with other artistes.
“This whole thing happened at Timaya’s house. Because I was drunk I did not know what I did. The next day it was just life as usual. And just randomly I think I went to see Skiibii and something. They now told me ‘this man (Kizz Daniel) is mad at you. I told him that is not the kind of person you are’.
“And I called him and I apologised and I was like dawg, I can not really remember everything I have said but I am really sorry though.
“That is one of the people that I know that I have hurt before that I felt really bad. Because I am a huge fan of his. I believe it is squashed now.”
Born Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, Skales started writing rap songs in 2000.
The rapper got signed to EME in 2010 and left in 2014 following the expiration of his four-year recording contract.
He has received several awards and recognition for his craft.
