But on Wednesday morning, Rarara took to his Instagram page to announce that the bandits had released Halima.

The singer also expressed his gratitude to God for the safe return of his mother.

The singer, however, did not reveal if a ransom was paid to the kidnappers to secure the release of his mother.

It is also understood that Halima is presently in a hospital in Abuja receiving medical attention.

About three weeks ago, the abductors were said to have silently raided Halima’s village. Residents never heard gunshots during the operation which “took only a few minutes”.

Halima was said to have gently followed the attackers when they struck at her home.

Some reports also claimed that the abductors specifically picked Rarara’s mother while leaving other residents behind.

Born in Katsina, Rarara gained widespread popularity after his performances during the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rallies in Kano — before the 2023 general election.

In March 2023, his house in Kano was invaded by hoodlums and set ablaze.
