According to Shatta Wale, the self-acclaimed ‘Starboy’ is not a superstar.

Speaking on a show on Ghana’s Kasapa FM, the award-winning dancehall artiste criticised his colleagues who hold the Nigerian in high esteem.

Wale said there is nothing to get him “stunned” about Wizkid, saying that the ‘Come Closer’ singer should instead be in awe of him.

“I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste,” the Ghanaian said.

His comments immediately generated criticism from many Nigerian music fans, who have lashed out at him on Twitter.

Some Ghanaian fans of Wizkid also joined the criticism of Wale.
