The Black Stars held the Super Eagles to a 1:1 draw at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday to qualify for this year’s World Cup in Qatar — after holding Nigeria to a goalless draw in Kumasi last Friday.

The outcome of the match has sparked a chorus of condemnation among Nigerians on social media, with some angry fans vandalising the Abuja stadium.

In a post via his Facebook page, Dumelo taunted the Nigerian team after the match while congratulating the Black Stars.

The film star said the outcome of the game was a confirmation of his initial description of the Nigerian team as “super chickens”.

“I told you they were Super Chicken!!!! Congrats black stars!!!” he wrote.

On his part, Wale took to his Twitter page to call out Nigerians in a short audio clip.

He accompanied the clip with a terse post which reads: “Don’t try Ghana….”

Dumelo had been in the news over his controversial comments on the clash between Nigeria and Ghana.

Before the first leg of the tie, which ended in a goalless draw, the actor vowed to trek barefooted from Accra to Lagos if Ghana lose the match.

“Dear super chickens, I was very confident you won’t win this game. But before you leave for N’ja, I have free ginger from my farm for you. Yours truly…John Dumelo. Son of Likpe,” he had written.
