There are widely circulated reports that Seyi Vibez, the Nigerian singer, has parted ways with his record label Dapper Music.

Vibez, born Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, and Dapper Music have enjoyed remarkable success since their partnership in 2022.

But on Sunday, the internet was inundated with reports that Vibez severed ties with his record label. The reports came in the wake of the controversy surrounding his cancelled show in Toronto, Canada, which sparked widespread criticism on social media.

Checks by TheCable Lifestyle showed that the singer, who announced the establishment of his own record label Vibez Inc. in 2023, has unfollowed Dapper on Instagram.

Vibez, who rose to fame for his breakthrough single ‘Chance (Na Ham)’ from his second studio album ‘Billion Dollar Baby,’ also deleted all his posts and updated his bio to read “Independent artist“.

Dapper, on the other hand, still has Vibez’s profile on its website, indicating a potentially one-sided split.

Although Vibez and Dapper have yet to comment on the purported separation, several music lovers have weighed in on the matter on X.

In November 2023, the Ikorodu-born singer welcomed a newly signed artiste TML Vibez to his newly formed record label Vibez Inc.

The 24-year-old singer has enjoyed fame since he hit the limelight. He has also collaborated with notable names in the music industry.

He connects himself with the street with his ingenious style of music.

In August 2023, the singer recalled how living in Ikorodu, Lagos inspired him to go into music.
