Seyi Shay, the Nigerian songstress, has welcomed a bouncing baby girl.
The music star announced the arrival of her first child in a post on her Instagram page on Friday.
“The Eagle has landed,” she wrote.
The newborn baby’s arrival comes after the ‘Yolo Yolo’ crooner revealed the gender during a baby shower organised recently.
The news of the singer’s pregnancy had also come in February this year after she announced that she was engaged.
The music star announced her engagement during an interview — although she kept mum on her lover’s identity.
When asked about the diamond ring on her finger, she said: “some guy gave it to me and said, ‘would you marry me?’ It’s really diamonds. Diamonds are forever.
“I’d already evolved. I was already glowing before I met the guy. He just added to the glow.”
In June last year, she disclosed that she feel pressured by fans to get married, have babies and share racy photos.
“Yeah, (I feel) pressure to get married; have a boyfriend; have babies. That’s all before the pressure to release a new single sometimes. Crazy right? Pressure to share more butt pictures. But it’s good,” she had said.
“It’s part of it. It’s what keeps me gingered. But I don’t burn myself out; I don’t overdo. I have a lot of videos and I’m always recording. Throughout this whole pandemic, I moved the studio to my house. I don’t just release.”
