Seven people have been charged for an armed robbery staged on the set of ‘Lupin’, a Netflix series.

According to BBC, twenty hooded thieves attacked the film crew by launching fireworks at them in February.

The crew was attacked while filming in the Nanterre district, west of central Paris, forcing them to briefly pause.

It is understood that they stole more than $330,000 worth of equipment during the heist, in broad daylight.

However, none of the cast or crew who were on set, which was said to include the show’s star Omar Sy, were hurt.

The accused, aged between 13 and 21, face charges of armed robbery as part of a gang and receiving stolen goods.

Lupin, created by George Kay and François Uzan, is a French mystery thriller that premiered on January 8.

The series consists of ten episodes, with the first five released in January 2021 and the remainder on June 11, 2021.

Inspired by the fictional master of disguise Arsène Lupin, it follows a thief Assane Diop who is played by Omar Sy.
