Movie producer, Seun Egbegbe, has been arraigned before an Ogudu magistrate court, in Lagos.

Egbegbe and his alleged accomplice, Ayomide Oyekan, were on Friday charged with 36 counts of advance fee fraud.

They were alleged to have defrauded not less than 30 bureau de change operators in Lagos between August 2015 and February 2017.

The filmmaker and Oyekan were recently caught while attempting to defraud two bureau de change operators, Isa Adamu and Abdullahi Haruna.

They were nabbed at Gbagada general hospital, Lagos, while in the process of swindling Adamu and Haruna of $9,000 and £3,000 respectively.

The case came up before justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo.

Egbegbe had on Thursday missed his court arraignment for a separate matter.

In November 2016, he was accused of stealing nine iPhones in computer village, Ikeja, Lagos.

After the police failed to produce him in court, the theft case was adjourned to April 12.

During today’s arraignment for fraud case, Egbegbe and Oyekan pleaded not guilty to all the charges filed against them.

The judge ordered that they should be remanded in prison custody till March 24, when the case will resume for trial.

Egbege is most famous for briefly dating Toyin Aimakhu (now Abraham), a Nollywood actress.
