Sammie Okposo, the Nigerian gospel singer, is set to be buried on December 15.
The singer’s burial arrangement was released on Monday.
Okposo passed away on November 25. He was said to have slumped at his residence in Lagos state.
But Hillary Vincent, his project manager, said he died in his sleep.
According to a now-viral flyer of his burial arrangement, a night of tributes will be held on December 13 at the La Madison Place, Oniru in Lagos state.
This would be followed by a service of songs on December 14 at the House on the Rock Cathedral in Lekki.
The remains of the singer would thereafter be laid to rest at a private ceremony on December 15.
Okposo’s death has continued to elicit reactions, with fans and friends paying tributes to him.
The Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards earlier renamed one of its 2022 award categories after the late singer.
Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of awards, said the gesture was to celebrate his heroics in the gospel music landscape.
“We are not a music award, but we feel the need to honour him in some way. This was what inspired us to rename the Best Soundtrack category after him. His loss will be felt by all and this is just a way to immortalize him,” he had said.
