Michael Olayinka, the Nigerian singer better known as Ruger, has recounted his experience with a music producer back in 2019.

In a tweet on Friday, the ‘Bounce’ crooner said the producer had refused to hear him out because he was not financially buoyant.

According to him, the supposed producer, whose name was not mentioned, is now sending him private messages on social media.

Ruger also asked his followers how he should reply to the music producer.

“I remember back in 2019, I reached out to a producer. I told him that i don’t have money but he should pls just hear me out, baba no gree oo. Now him dey my DM dey yarn dust. Pls my people, how should i reply him? Please help me,” he asked.

Born Michael Adebayo Olayinka, the 22-year-old is a fast-rising singer, and songwriter.

Ruger started music at a very tender age and was a member of his school music band and church choir

He gained prominence in 2021 after he signed a record deal with D’Prince ‘Jonzing World Record’, an affiliate of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.

Ruger released his debut EP ‘Pandemic’ on March 4, 2021. ‘Bounce’ became a major hit song from the EP, and debuted at number 39 on the Top 50 chart.

He recently released his second EP titled ‘The Second Wave’ in November 2021.
