Ruger and BNXN, two fast-rising Nigerian singers, have resumed their heated war of words on Twitter.

The drama started in July after a fan claimed BNXN was a better artiste better than Ruger.

In his response, Ruger had boasted that the ‘Outside’ crooner “is not better than me”.

“I love Buju he’s good but he’s not better than me. Everything I’ve done since the beginning was only Ruger. All my hits are just Ruger. I’m always proud going on stage around the world with my own hits and everyone is singing along. You see the difference?” he had written.

Their superiority debate resurfaced on Thursday after BNXN aimed a dig at the ‘Bounce’ singer while celebrating ‘Bad Since ’97‘, his latest extended play (EP).

In the cryptic post, BNXN shared a screenshot showing the EP is currently topping Apple Music’s Nigerian album chat.

He also accompanied the post with a note which reads “What if I what if I what if I coookkkk #BadSince97″. The post is a reference to Ruger’s hit song ‘Girlfriend’ which has the same line.

Responding to the tweet, Ruger replied: “Get a solo hit then talk to me fatty bum bum” — suggesting BNXN’s career success is due to his collaborations with other top artistes.

But BNXN, formerly called Buju, fired back in series of posts wherein he taunted Ruger’s music career.

“Man had to body shame? hurt him deeeeep,” he wrote.
