Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese footballer, has launched his YouTube channel, ‘Ur. Cristiano’.

The channel launched on Wednesday with its teaser video going viral and driving a surge in subscribers.

In an announcement via Instagram, Ronaldo wrote, “The wait is over 👀🎬 My YouTube channel is finally here! Subscribe and join me on this journey”.

The channel features content with Georgina Rodríguez, his girlfriend of eight years.

Ronaldo also shares insights on overcoming adversity and managing the pressures of his high-profile career.

At the time of this report, the YouTube channel has raked in over 3.58 million followers in three hours.

It is said to have broken the world record for the fastest YouTube channel to hit 1 million subscribers (90 minutes).

With over 917 million followers, Ronaldo is the most-followed person on social media — including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

He is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. He has won five Ballon d’Or awards, three UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Awards, and four European Golden Shoes, the most by any European player.

The Portuguese international has also scored 895 senior career goals and is the leading all-time goal-scorer in the world.

According to the latest issue of Forbes, Ronaldo is also the highest-paid athlete in the world in 2024 with an estimated total earnings of $260 million.
