Rihanna, the Barbadian singer, has announced her forthcoming single titled ‘Lift Me Up’.

The music star has been partially off the music industry since the release of her 2016 album ‘Anti’.

Although she has featured in music belonging to prominent singers, she has not dropped a song of her own in six years.

But in a Twitter post on Wednesday, Rihanna said she will be putting out ‘Lift Me Up’ on October 28.

The track will also feature on the soundtrack for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.

The development comes five months after she and Asap Rocky, her celebrity boyfriend, welcomed a baby boy.

In January, the singer and her rapper boyfriend announced they were expecting their first child together — after weeks of speculation.

Since the release of her debut album ‘Music Of The Sun’ in 2005, Rihanna has established herself as a household name in the international music space.

She has eight studio albums to her credit and several awards and recognition for her craft.

Aside from music, Rihanna doubles as a humanitarian, entrepreneur, actress and fashion model.

She is the founder of the nonprofit organization Clara Lionel Foundation, cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty, and fashion house Fenty.

She has starred in movies including Battleship, Home, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
