Imisi, the newly crowned winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 10, has revealed a prudent approach to her life-changing N150 million grand prize.
The winner, whose real name is Opeyemi Ayanwale, emerged victorious from a pool of 29 housemates during the live finale on Sunday.
However, in her final diary session before the winner was announced, the reality star shared that her immediate plan involves seeking guidance, not making impulsive purchases.
“Honestly, right now, I don’t have a set plan for the money. I need to seek financial advice first because I’ve never had such a large amount before, and I’m still young,” she said.
She explained that her previous financial ideas were tailored for more modest sums and are ill-suited for a “prize of this magnitude”.
“I’ve never imagined having such a huge amount, so the ideas I had were for smaller sums — like N3 million. I’ll first seek financial advice from my mentors and people I look up to, then reflect on it myself,” she added.
“I believe that if I do win, ideas on what to do with the money and how to make it multiply will come. One thing about money is, if you don’t create turnovers from it, it will eventually finish.”
The grand prize includes N80 million in cash alongside a brand-new SUV.
