Melinda French, the ex-wife of Bill Gates, is reportedly dating Jon Du Pre, the former Fox News reporter.
According to TMZ, a source close to the duo disclosed they have been dating for a few months.
It was gathered that Melinda, 58, and Jon were spotted together at a Nets and Celtics game in April.
Jon Du Pre is a reporter with several years of experience in broadcasting, video production, and public speaking.
He was also a TV reporter at the Fox News Channel for about four years.
Asides from reporting, Jon doubles as a writer and strategic communications specialist.
The rumoured relationship was brought to light about 15 months after Melinda and Bill finalised their divorce.
The pair announced their split in May 2021 after 27 years together.
Bill and Melinda met in 1987 and got married in 1994. They have three children together — Jennifer, 26, Rory, 23, and Phoebe, 20.
Melinda had in March 2022 disclosed that Bill’s alleged infidelity and relationship with Jeffrey Epstein influenced their divorce.
“As I said it’s not one thing, it was many things. But I did not like that he’d had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein, no. I made that clear to him,” she had said.
“I also met Jeffrey Epstein exactly one time. Yes, because I wanted to see who this man was. And I regretted it from the second I stepped in the door. He was abhorrent. He was evil personified.
“I had nightmares about it afterwards. So you know, my heart breaks for these young women because that’s how I felt, and here I’m an older woman. My God, I feel terrible for those young women. It’s awful.”
