Reports have claimed that Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, fathered twins with a top executive at Neuralink, one of his other companies, in 2021.

In August 2020, Musk held a live-streamed event to showcase Neuralink, a technology it had implanted in a pig to create a functioning brain-to-computer interface.

The technology was aimed at bringing symbiosis between artificial intelligence and the human brain, seeking to develop implantable brain-machine interfaces (BMIs).

Business Insider reports that it has obtained court files showing that Musk fathered twins with Shivon Zilis, a Neuralink employee.

The news platform said the documents sought to change the children’s legal names to incorporate the Musk last name and that of Zilis as part of their middle names.

CNN also reports that a Texas court docket indicated that the name change petition was initially filed in April 2022 and granted in May.

It added that the development matched the dates on the documents published by Business Insider.

The professional ties between Zilis and Musk, it is understood, date back to 2016 when the former became an advisor to OpenAI, a nonprofit research lab Musk co-founded.

The children with Zilis, whose names are undisclosed, are the second Musk is currently believed to have fathered.

Musk and Justine Wilson, his first wife, had twins in 2004 before welcoming triplets two years later.

The Tesla boss subsequently had two children with Claire Boucher, the musician.

Earlier, it emerged that Xavier Alexander, one of his sons, filed a request in court to change his name and gender.
