Mukesh is the richest man in Asia and one of the wealthiest men in the world. His son’s wedding is estimated to cost upwards of $600 million.
The four-day wedding extravaganza in Mumbai City is the final stop in a string of lavish parties the family has hosted since March.
Last week, Justin Bieber was reportedly paid $10 million to perform at the family’s private pre-wedding concert.
Notable guests attending the wedding today include Kim Kardashian, Boris Johnson, the former UK prime minister; former US secretary of state Tony Blair, and Stephen Harper, former Canadian prime minister.
Rema has established himself as a prominent name in the African music industry, with numerous awards and honourary mentions.
His global hit ‘Calm Down’ has earned massive numbers on streaming services and broken records.
In April 2023, it became India’s second longest-charting African song at No. 1.
It recently won the 2024 ASCAP Pop Song of the Year award in London.
