Regina Askia, Nigerian-born family nurse, has taken a swipe at a Facebook user who criticised her for sharing a video clip of her chat on marital struggles with Rudolph Junior, her son, on social media.

In the less than 12-minute video, shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, the 53-year-old former actress had recounted events that led to her separation from Rudolph ‘Rudy’ Williams, her former American husband.

She, however, revealed that despite the crisis that rocked their marriage and eventual divorce, the two of them still maintain a good relationship 19 years after they tied the knot.

Commenting on the post, Laura Micheal, a Facebook user, had called out Askia for sharing such personal chat on the internet.

“You went on air to talk about your marriage and the crisis that rocked it? So, what did you gain? All for the gram? At your age? Shame on you,” the user had written.

But in her reaction, Askia slammed the user for hurling insults at her over the post.

She went on to claim that the comment was not only indicative of the user’s “poor home training” but also suggested that such person could be enduring a “violent relationship.”

“Please learn a thing or two from an honest conversation with my son… If you are in a violent relationship, get help, heal and repair your relationship… We did just that and we along with our kids are doing well 19 years and counting,” she wrote.

“As for the rest of your insults — a direct reflection of your poor home training. If your parents took time to heal themselves and repair the family, you would not have come out so bitter. As a medic, I can fix many things but I can’t stupid. Only God will do that for you. Peace.”

Askia’s marriage to Williams is blessed with two children — Teesa Olympia and Rudolph Junior.
