Photos of Big Brethren Ghana, a Ghanaian reality TV show, have emerged online and gone viral, sparking mixed reactions.

The show comes at about the same time when the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show is ongoing.

In some pictures and video clips circulating social media platforms, housemates could be seen packed together in an overcrowded and dirty room.

The “low budget” reality show has, however, generated heated controversies on Twitter, where several users have been airing their different views.

Many of those commenting on the show had compared it with Biggy237, a Cameroon’s version of the reality TV show, which was also criticised for poor organisation.

TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported how several Nigerians made a mockery of Biggy237.

Multichoice Ghana had also issued a disclaimer wherein it stated that the show is “no way associated with the highly successful Big Brother format that has aired on our DStv and GOtv platforms.”

“I heard that Ghana started her version of big brother called “Big Brethren Ghana“If I get evicted from Big Brethren Ghana I will give testimony of how I escaped from kidnappers hand,” a user wrote.

“Ghana must you copy Nigeria ??? Which 1 is big brethren Ghana,” another user wrote.

Here is what some Nigerians had to say:
