Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story’, the Nigerian movie, won five trophies at the 2022 edition of the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The AMVCA’s eight-day schedule of activities ended with an award night on Saturday.

The night, full of glitz and glamour, united showbiz personalities to recognise outstanding achievements in television, film, and online content.

In the public voting categories, Stan Nze  And Osas Ighodaro clinched the ‘Best Actor and Actress in Drama’ categories for their roles in Rattlesnake.

Ramsey Nouah, the ace actor, also won the ‘Best Director (Movie)’ for his directorial expertise in Rattlesnake.

The movie sealed the night as Mohammed Attah Ahmed and Matthew Yusuf won the ‘Best Cinematographer’ and ‘Best Lightning Design’ respectively.

‘Rattlesnake’ is a 2020 coming-of-age film executive produced by Charles Okpaleke and directed by Ramsey Nouah.

It is a remake of the 1995 Nigerian classic action thriller ‘Rattlesnake’ which was directed by Amaka Igwe.

The movie received mixed reviews from critics and went on to rank 24th overall on the list of the highest-grossing Nigerian movies of all time at the end of its theatrical run.
