Earlier this year, there were reports that the family of Yekini, particularly his mother, Sikiratu Yekini and Akeem Yekini, younger brother, were struggling to survive after the demise of their breadwinner.

Saraki, through his football club, ABS FC, did a comprehensive renovation of the living apartment of the Yekinis and stocked the elderly woman’s shop with assorted provisions and raw food materials, textile materials and cash support.

Akeem who was digging wells and latrines for survival, was given a brand new tricycle, popularly known as “Keke Napep”.
