Qing Madi, the fast-rising Nigerian songstress, says she “lost a lot of followers for speaking about Jesus Christ”.

In a now-deleted post on her Instagram story, the 18-year-old argued that a huge number of her followers unfollowed her because she kept talking about her faith.

The Afrobeats singer however said she did not regret her action.

“Lol. I lost a lot of followers for talking about Jesus Christ. And from the bottom of my heart, I do not regret a thing. Luv you all,” she wrote.

Born Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, Qing Madi started her career at a young age by performing in school talent shows and joining her then-church choir.

The Delta state indigene started gaining traction for her craft after the release of ‘See Finish’, her hit single, in 2022.

The song gained widespread fame most especially on TikTok and was used to create challenges on the app.

In 2023, she released ‘Ole’, featuring BNXN, and ‘American Love’ which fast became hits within the Nigerian music space.

She also put out her self-titled extended play (EP) that same year.

Qing Madi has also worked with big names in the industry such as Kizz Daniel, Joeboy, and Chloe Bailey, the American songstress.
