Sibling rivalry and family squabbling have in the past few years become commonplace among Nigeria’s biggest group, Psquare.
Although there’s been no major incident or social media meltdown in 2017, the grapevine, fuelled by curious Instagram posts, suggest that another rift may be brewing between Peter and Paul Okoye, and perhaps, their brother/video director/manager Jude.
Peter on Thursday unveiled his own YouTube channel while referring to himself as ‘Mr P’, the stage name he uses as a solo artiste.
The singer/dancer made this known in a post on Instagram.
“Had my VEVO channel for over a year and half and I’ve never put it up so be among the first to be notified with some cool videos from the Koolest Dude,” he wrote.
“Pls feel free to subscribe to my vevo channel MrPVEVO.
“Thanks so much #MrP #KoolestDude #coolitdown Cool it downloading.”
Peter and Paul have been posting cryptic messages on social media since last weekend, but no one can tell for certain if it is the beginning of another public spat.
In 2016 when Psquare was temporarily disbanded, Peter released solo projects as Mr P while Paul did the same as Rude Boy.
Amid that rift, TheCable Lifestyle had reported that telecommunications giant Globacom would dump them as brand ambassadors, partly due to the frequency of their disagreements.
