Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye, the Nigerian singer, has expressed disappointment with the renewed tension between him and Peter Okoye, his twin brother.

The rift, which started in 2017 and led to the disbandment of Psquare, saw the brothers pursuing solo careers. Though they briefly reunited in November 2021, their reunion was short-lived.

In an interview, Paul accused Peter of orchestrating his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Peter, however, denied the allegations. The singer also accused Jude, their older brother, of diverting millions of dollars from their joint account into a secret company.

Responding to the accusations, Jude stated that he had done everything possible, even “sacrificing himself,” to mend the rift between his brothers.

He also urged Paul and Peter to resolve their differences on their own.

“What do you mean by go and put your family in order? My family is in order. Let them put their family in order,” he had said.

“If they are doing business together, let them put it in order. I have tried to the point I sacrificed myself.”

During a recent Instagram live session, Paul expressed his dismay over the situation, questioning why their bond as brothers should be affected by their professional disagreements.

He also described the situation as “unfortunate”.

“Even if we don’t do Psquare, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers?” Paul asked.

“Like I said, I don’t want to talk much. I don’t used to talk before. It’s so unfortunate.”
