Princess Shyngle, a Gambia-born Ghanaian actress, says she has tied the knot with her lover whom she described as her “childhood crush”.

In September 2019, the 30-year-old film star had announced her engagement to Frederic Badji, her Senegalese boyfriend.

The relationship was later rumoured to have hit the rocks — only for the actress to re-engage Frederic in January 2020.

But on Saturday, Shyngle took to her Instagram page to announce that she has gotten married to a certain Bala Gaye who she described as her “best friend and childhood crush”.

She also put out a compilation of video clips of herself and her husband sharing romantic postures while physically expressing their love.

In the caption that accompanied the post, she chronicled the early days of their relationship and how they shared a friendship bond for 10 years before finally getting together as a couple.

She also expressed her excitement at marrying the man of her dreams.

“I just married my best friend. My crush since 8th grade even though you didn’t use to look my way back then, the only man I ever hit on numerous times but I had no luck. Instead you choose to be my friend for over 10 years. Little did either of us knew we were gonna end up together,” she wrote.

“Our real and genuine friendship brought us together and made our relationship and bound stronger than ever. I’m still taking it all in and I know all this would not have been possible without Allah.

“I’m blessed to be married to my childhood crush, my forever crush, my best friend, gossip partner and love of my life. Mrs Bala-Gaye 4life. I’m officially a wife.”

In April 2020, Shyngle had revealed that Frederic was arrested by police authorities and how she had been struggling to pay her bills since his arrest.

“My man is in jail, I’m going through all these, I have been by myself for months. I’m struggling, I’m paying my bills, I’m going through it. And anybody saying I am doing it for views?” she had said.
