Princess Love, an American model and fashion designer, has filed for divorce from Ray J, her husband, about four months after they welcomed their second child together.
According to TMZ, the 35-year-old Oakland-born video vixen filed the divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles county superior court.
The development comes on the heels of several controversies that have been trailing the couple since they tied the knot in 2016.
The ‘Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood’ star had in November last year threatened to fill a divorce after claiming Ray J left her and Melody Love, their oldest daughter, “stranded” in Las Vegas while she was heavily pregnant with their second child.
Ray J, an American singer-songwritter, would later come out to deny the claim.
In January, the lovebirds welcomed Epik, their second child, but that could not stem the bickering between the couple.
It is understood that the couple had been living separately since the Las Vegas incident with hopes of burying the hatchet on Valentine’s Day also hitting the rock.
They had also reportedly stopped wearing their wedding ring amid the controversies between them until Love’s decision to finally file for a divorce.
A representative of the couple was said to have declined comment about Love’s decision for filling for divorce, appealing that they should be allowed to have their privacy.
“It’s a very difficult time for both Princess and Ray J and we are asking that we just let them have their privacy as they work through and deal with this very trying situation” the rep was quoted as saying by PEOPLE.
