Prince Eke, the Nollywood actor, has taken to social media to recount his ordeal after he was kidnapped eight years ago.
In 2015, the movie star was abducted in Rivers state on his way back from a movie shoot.
Eke revealed that five gunmen attacked his vehicle in the middle of the road and thereafter demanded a sum of N15 million as ransom.
On Tuesday, the gym instructor took to his Instagram page to mark “exactly eight years since I was kidnapped”.
In the post, the actor described his ordeal with his abductors as “hell on earth”.
He also revisited claims by some of his colleagues that he kidnapped himself to raise money.
“Today marks exactly 8 years I was kidnapped in Nigeria. Along Ubima road in rivers state. I experienced hell on earth . But the greatest experience was that, most of my colleagues and friends alleged that I kidnapped myself to raise money,” he wrote.
“Pray for life , because if you eventually die . People that you thought were close to you will say so many unprintable things about you. Thank God for the gift of life and grace!”
Eke, 46, began acting in 2003 when he was featured in the movie ‘Indecent Proposal’. Since then, he has been featured in hundreds of films.
He was married to Muma Gee, the musician, but their marriage crashed in 2020 over allegations of domestic violence and death threats.
