The bout at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, on April 18, ended in a technical knockout (TKO).

Portable was declared the winner after Darlington failed to stand up in the second round.

In a now-viral video, Portable revealed that the organisers initially gave him N30 million when he agreed to the fight, with an additional N20 million if he won.

He said that after defeating Darlington, Burna Boy also gifted him N20 million, bringing his total earnings from the fight to N70 million in three days.

“I was first given N30 million to agree to the fight. Then they said if I win, I would get another N20 million, making it 50 million,” he said.

“After I beat Speed Darlington, I even wounded him, and then Burna Boy sent me an extra N20 million.

“So, in just three days, I made N70 million.”

The boxing match stemmed from a rivalry after Darlington offered Portable N500,000 to perform, which he rejected, claiming his fee was N20 million.

Darlington accused Portable of insulting his mother, leading the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker to challenge him to a fight.
