The movie star, who is a member of the Edochie family, was reacting to rumours of divorce between May and Yul via her Instagram page.

Rita, who is married to Tony Edochie, a younger brother to Pete Edochie, Yul’s father, also maintained that the rumours are false.

The 59-year-old actress claimed May still “believes any spell cast on Yul will surely expire someday.”

“No divorce between queen May Yul Edochie AND her husband Yul Edochie,” she wrote.

“My great People in the world, Queen May Yul Edochie believe that any spell cast on the husband of her youth will surely expire someday.

“She will speak up after mourning her late son Kambili.

“I still thank you all for the passionate love on our family and most especially the only verified and known wife of Yul Edochie, Queen May Yul Edochie.

“I am convinced that those calling for her divorce are either not married or are from a broken home.”

The controversy began in April 2022, when Yul welcomed a child with Judy and also flaunted her as his second wife — to the displeasure of May.

In December, Yul apologised to May for taking a second wife.

In her response, May said she would not be cajoled into accepting polygamy because it goes against her faith, beliefs, and values.

The entrepreneur also recounted how she battled with depression after Yul married Judy.
