The police command in Jigawa state has arrested six students of the Federal University Dutse and Jigawa Polytechnic for allegedly entering a man’s house and shaving his head forcefully.

According to NAN, Lawan Shiisu, the command’s spokesman, broke the news in a statement in Dutse, the capital, on Tuesday.

Shiisu said the suspects were arrested on August 27 after the man identified as Ibrahim Sambo reported at the police station that the students allegedly invaded his house on August 20 around 1 am and started shaving his head.

The police spokesman added that the complaint, who is a resident of Yalwawa quartres in Dutse, alleged that he became sick two days after the incident.

“On Aug. 27, at about 1600hrs, one Ibrahim Sambo of Yalwawa quartres of Dutse, reported that on Aug. 20, at about 1000hrs, some students of Federal University Dutse and Jigawa Polytechnic, Dutse, entered his house, restrained him and forcefully barbed his hair and left,” the statement read.

“And after two days, his health started failing and he became sick.”

Shiisu said upon receipt of the complain, police detectives swung into action and arrested the six students aged between 18 and 19 over their alleged connection with the offence.

The spokesman said during interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, adding that they would be charged to court in due course after completion of investigation into the matter.

“The suspects, who confessed to the crime, will be charged to court upon completion of investigation,” it added.

Shiisu also revealed that the police have launched a manhunt for the arrest of four other suspects who were at large.
