My Period Stories‘, a podcast focused on menstrual health advocacy, is set to return for its second season.

In a recent statement, the podcast’s organisers said the show will premiere on June 7, 2025.

‘My Period Stories’ unravels the menstrual stigma and encourages open dialogue about menstruation through personal narratives.

“The show is a platform advocating for recognising menstrual health as a human right and public health priority,” the statement reads.

“It seeks to dismantle social stigmas, transform norms and policies to ensure dignity in menstruation, address period poverty, and promote innovations such as menstrual pad banks in schools and menstrual leave policies.”

Funke Treasure, the show’s executive producer, said the new season is “a revolution that will build on the success of the first season”.

“We believe it’s time to shatter the silence,” she said.

“This is not just content. It’s a quiet revolution—one that reaches into homes, institutions, and across borders. We are using media to humanise menstruation and transform attitudes at scale.”

Treasure said the desire is to see menstrual health become a priority for governments, schools, and workplaces across the continent.

She added that the podcast aligns with ‘Partnerships for the Goals’, Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17.

“We are deeply grateful to Multichoice for believing in the vision of ‘My Period Stories’,” she added.
