Danjuma Goje, senator representing Gombe central, has tied the knot with Aminatu Dahiru Binani, his lover.
The wedding ceremony, which held in Abuja on Friday, started by 2:45pm.
Present at the event were Ahmed Lawan, senate president; Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation (SGF); and Isa Pantami, minister of communications and digital economy.
Inuwa Yahaya, governor of Gombe state, as well as Abdullahi Ganduje, his Kano counterpart, were also in attendance.
Senators Gabriel Suswam, Abdullahi Adamu; and Abdulmumin Jibrin, new executive director of federal housing authority (FHA), also attended the wedding ceremony.
Yahaya, who spoke at the event, also prayed for Goje, who is also the leader of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in his state.
“As our leader, I pray Allah, Subhana WataAllah, will guide him and we wish him well in order to manage leadership with his wife,” he said.
The wedding comes about three years after the demise of Yelwa, Goje’s first wife, who died at 55.
He was a former governor of Gombe state.
