The private screening of ‘My Fairytale Wedding’, the Nigerian series produced by Chinenye Nworah, was held on Wednesday in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Some notable persons spotted at the events were Ini Edo, Caroline Hutchings, Lilian Esoro, Ayo Mogaji, and Lilian Ejiofor.
The series, curated by Nworah, tells the story of a young lady who, with the help of magic (Kayanmata), bags the most eligible bachelor in Lagos.
Although the series idea was of Nworah, it was written by Xavier Ighorodje, Great Opara, and Owumi Ugbeye and directed by Dimeji Ajibola.
‘My Fairytale Wedding’ features Nollywood heavyweights like Ramsey Nouah, Ini Edo, Kanayo O Kanayo, Daniel Etim, Uzor Arukwe, Shaggy Bello, Mercy Eke, Tina Mba, and Ayo Mogaji.
Busola Tejumola, executive head of content and West Africa channels at MultiChoice, described the series as an unpredictable tale of “love with a sprinkle of magic”.
“It’s been a year of weddings and I’m particularly excited to announce the next big union to look forward to,” she said.
“My Fairytale Wedding offers a glimpse into a tale of love with a sprinkle of magic, but not in the way you expect. With an amazing cast, this is a show you cannot afford to miss.”
‘My Fairytale Wedding’ will premiere on October 20 on Africa Magic Showcase by 8 pm.
