Harvesters International Christian Centre in Alimosho Lagos has held the second edition of its fashion show.

The event, themed “The Stitches in Styles Weekend 2.0”, featured runaway exhibitions, a photo booth, a panel discussion, and a fashion fair.

These took place on September 29, at the Emeralds Place and Resort in Igando.

The colourful show was attended by experts across the fashion industry including designers, makeup artists, and award-winning models.

Kunle Olabode, a pastor at Haversters church, said the show celebrates creativity, innovation, and the talents of local designers.

During the panel discussion anchored by Winfrey Agbelese, the TV host, Raji Yakub Ibidapo, the fashion designer fondly called London Tailor, spoke on the importance of “innovation and craftsmanship” to stay relevant in the industry.

He said the fashion world requires adaptability, an understanding of market demands, and community collaboration.

“By incorporating sustainable materials and exploring new techniques, we can create garments that resonate with our clients and reflect current trends,” London Tailor said.

“Success in this industry requires adaptability and a keen understanding of market demands. Collaboration and networking within our community will foster growth and shared learning.”

On her part, Mildred Tito Adebayo, the former Miss Nigeria and founder of the organisation Mid Heart, opened up on the essence of cultivating confidence and elegance to achieving success in the modelling industry.

Tito Ibeleme, the founder of T.A’la Mode Beauty, said: “Makeup and beauty are powerful tools that complement fashion, helping to create moods, elevate designs, and express deeper stories through visual art.

“In every runway or editorial, beauty is the thread that ties the story together.”
