According to a 2016 National Bureau of Statistics report, 67.1 % of the country’s population live below the poverty line and with the economic issues plaguing the nation, the situation looks to deteriorate.

Voice Of The People, through its outreach program – For the People – recently visited the Makoko community in Yaba, Lagos to bring succour to the residents in the spirit of the festive season.
The outreach program took place at the Ken Ade Primary school on Friday, December 29, in conjunction with Kindle Africa.
Over 300 residents got entertained with games, music and they also received donations ranging from food items to clothing.
