On Monday, Oborevwori was sworn in as the newly-elected governor of Delta.

The former speaker of the state house of assembly succeeded Ifeanyi Okowa, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate in the last general election.

In a Twitter post on Wednesday, Oborevwori said Davido’s “congratulatory visit” was a “pleasant and remarkable one”.

In one of the pictures accompanying the tweet, Davido and Bobo Ajudua, his lawyer, can be seen discussing with the governor.

Oborevwori also took a group picture with the ‘O.B.O’ crooner and his crew members, including Israel DMW, David’s logistics manager.

“Also earlier today, I received in audience music superstar, David Adeleke (Davido) at the Government House in Asaba! The congratulatory visit was a remarkable one,” Oborevwori wrote.

Davido earlier revealed he performed for free at the after-party swearing-in ceremony of Alex Otti, the Abia state governor.

Reacting to an enquiry by a Twitter user, the Afrobeats star had said: “Not a dime I’ve known Excellency all my life…and I’m sure he will do well for the people of Abia State.”

Davido has been actively vocal in the country’s political landscape.

He had used his social media platforms to solicit support for Ademola Adeleke, his uncle who is currently governor of Osun.
