Fashion designers, models, and the crème de la crème of the music and film industry converged on New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night for the 2024 Met Gala.
The Met Gala is an annual fundraising event held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in Manhattan.
The show, which raises money for the museum’s costume institute, is arguably the most anticipated fashion event of the year as it unites the brightest stars across the film, television, and music industries.
Each year’s gala celebrates the theme of that year’s costume institute exhibition, and the exhibition also sets the dress theme of the night for guests.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’, while the dress code is ‘The Garden of Time’.
This year’s event is co-chaired by Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth, Zendaya and Bad Bunny while Vogue’s Anna Wintour is at the helm at the costume institute benefit.
The star-studded guest list includes Nicki Minaj, Zendaya, Cardi B, Janelle Monae, Ed Sheeran, Naomi Campbell, Kylie Jenner, and Jeff Bezos.
Others are Rita Ora, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Gabrielle Union, Dwayne Wade, Jayden and Willow Smith, Ariana Grande, Lisa Sanchez, and Lana Del Ray.
