Bashir Ahmad, personal assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, has tied the knot with Naeemah Junaid Bindawa, his lover, in Katsina state.
It is understood that the wedding Fatiha, which was held on Friday at the GRA Juma’at Mosque, witnessed the presence of political figures, Islamic clerics, and family members.
The groom took to Twitter as the wedding progressed to share a video clip from the event showing him undertaking marriage rites while photos were being taken within an intimate space.

At around 1 pm, Ahmad had hinted on the duration of the wedding event, writing: “All set, it will be done in a matter of an hour or so. All the expected people are here in Katsina for #NB2020.”
His wedding comes days after Hanan Buhari, the president’s daughter, got married to Mohammed Turad, a special adviser to Babatunde Fashola, the minister of works and housing.
