Entertainers turned up at the funeral of Jane Dolapo Balogun, the mother of Wizkid, the musician.
Jane passed away on August 18.
The cause of her death was, however, not disclosed.
On Thursday, the Balogun family held a wake at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos to honour Jane.
Jane’s funeral service took place on Friday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Victoria Island.
During the procession, Wizkid, visibly heartbroken, was seen holding a candle alongside his siblings.
The singer was also seen being consoled by family members.
The burial united the music star’s family, friends, and industry acquaintances.
Osas Ighodaro, Rudeboy, Tony Elumelu, Banky W, Tiwa Savage, Oba Elegushi, and Kwam 1 showed up to support Wizkid.
Other celebrities present at the event include Mercy Eke, Kim Oprah, Faith Morey, Khloe, Eniola Badmus, Layole Oyatogun, and Pretty Mike.
Born in 1957, Jane is survived by her husband Muniru Olatunji Balogun and four children.
Wizkid, born in Surulere on July 16, 1990, grew up in a polygamous home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother.
Known for his deep affection for his mother, the singer expressed this through his 2014 song ‘Mummy Mi’, which he dedicated to mothers worldwide.
