The Iconic Lagos Exhibition, an art showcase, has opened at Didi Museum on Victoria Island.
The art exhibition was held on Saturday, September 17, uniting several art lovers in an intimate setting.
Hundreds flocked to the gallery to get a first glimpse of the show themed after Nigeria’s commercial city.
The exhibition showcased the works of 23 artists who were present to appraise their own works.
At the event, Bolaji Alonge, a photographer, thanked all of the show’s artists, guests, partners, and sponsors.
All the works in the exhibition, Alonge said, are for sale and many were indeed picked up on the opening day.
The organisers said they plan to sellout the show by the end of the ride on September 25.
Iconic Lagos consists of three elements: photography by Bolaji Alonge, mixed media images by Jason Ogbazi/Alonge, and artworks by other artists.
The show followed after a call for submissions was put out in July, with about 400 entries received.
20 works were selected for the show.
