Peter Okoye has urged his critics to stomach the bitter reality that Psquare is gone for good.

Psquare, comprising of Peter and twin brother Paul, disbanded after the former expressed his desire to walk away from the group.

Reacting to the criticism of his recent performance in the US, where he sang a medley of songs by various artistes, Peter took to Instagram to say it’s nothing out of the ordinary.

He said the video of the performance posted online was “re-edited” to make him look bad.

The singer-dancer said while he’s aware that people are still “mad and sad that Psquare is no more,” they should understand that “change is constant”.

Peter wrote on Instagram: “Whoever posted that video just re-edited it and didn’t tell y’all I was telling a story of how I got inspired and motivated by some of our Nigerian artiste and the rest of the world.

“Besides, we have more than 100 songs which I performed and entitled to.

“We even do dis even when I was still in a group in most of our foreign concerts. You can verify that on YouTube. So it’s nothing new.

“I know it’s because some pple are still sad and mad that Psquare is no more that’s why they want to insult and say whatever.

“But I understand. Take heart guys, change is constant and I have moved on. 30 children cannot be together for 30 years… so pls get used to it.”

Neither Paul nor elder brother/manager Jude has reacted to the development and what it may mean for the future of Psquare.
