Pete Edochie, the ace actor, has taken to social media to celebrate his 76th birthday.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, Edochie appreciated God for “another great year”.
The ace actor also said his “greatest birthday gift” is to see Nigerians “vote with your conscience” in the upcoming elections.
“Your vote in the upcoming elections will be the greatest birthday gift for me. Please vote with your conscience. It is well with our great Nation Nigeria,” he wrote.

Yul Edochie, the actor and son of the thespian, also took to his Instagram page to celebrate him on the occasion of his birthday.
“Happy 76th birthday dad, Chief Pete Edochie. EBUBEDIKE. Best dad ever. The Lion of Africa. The Legend,” Yul wrote.
“May God continue to keep you and bless you more and more. Many more happy years I wish you. Keep enjoying the fruits of your labour. My man for life. Love you dad.”
The governorship and state house of assembly elections will be held on Saturday.
In March 2022, Pete Edochie argued that a president from the Igbo ethnic group is long overdue in Nigeria.
“It’s long overdue for Nigeria to have a leader of Igbo extraction. We’re resilient by nature and the looting of Nigeria’s resources will end with Igbo leadership,” he had said.
With several awards and recognition, Edochie has established himself as a household name in the Nigerian movie industry.
