Pere and Angel have qualified for the BBNaija season six finale despite the controversial twist introduced by Biggie, the instructive voice behind the show.

On Sunday, Biggie had sent the duo packing from the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ house alongside Nini, Queen, and Saga in what was the show’s last eviction.

But Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the show host, had thereafter explained that the pair were asked to leave the house and not the reality show.

They were then sent to the “white room” where they were given a task which will decide who will return to the house — with the other person evicted.

On Monday night, Biggie, however, said that the pair will make the show’s finale for successfully executing the task titled ‘Double Jeopardy Game’.

It means the reality stars will now join White Money, Liquorose, Cross, and Emmanuel in the race for the show’s finale billed for October 3.

The duo’s qualification will come as a relief to BBNaija’s viewers as Biggie’s latest eviction twist had earlier sparked a wave of backlashes from Pere’s fans who argued that the initiative was unnecessary since he had more votes than Angel.

Some of the actor’s fans had threatened to boycott the show even as others took to the DSTV office at Ilupeju, Lagos to protest the controversial twist.

Federick Leonard, the Nigerian actor, had also faulted the initiative, saying such could discredit the show and rob voters of their efforts.

The winner of this year’s edition of the show will go home with a grand prize of N90 million — BBNaija’s highest ever.

The sum of N30 million will be the cash prize while N60 million will cover travel and other gifts.
