Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye, the Nigerian singer, has revealed the stringent measures he has put in place for signing new artistes to Fire Department Inc., his record label.

In an Instagram Live session, Rudeboy said some artistes develop a sense of entitlement when they achieve fame.

He said prospective artistes looking to join his label must agree to his terms, which include providing guarantees like landed property and having their parents co-sign a binding contract.

He added that a N10 million fine would be handed out on any artiste caught smoking weed.

“Some people just believe say they don big pass record label. So I will tell you my demands now. You go bring landed properties, your parents go sign. The day I catch you dey smoke one thing as my artiste, minus N10 million. That is why if you continue asking me when I am going to sign artistes I will tell you I do not know,” he said.

Rudeboy launched Fire Department Inc. in 2019, two years after the breakup of Psquare, the iconic group he formed with his identical twin brother Peter Okoye.

The duo reunited in November 2021. However, their reconciliation was short-lived.

Rudeboy recently confirmed another fallout and accused his brother of orchestrating his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In his reaction on Monday, Peter questioned why his brother was trying to “discredit all my efforts” towards Psquare.
